was formed in 2013 as a merger between Abar Hutton Media and LUC Media. Barbara Abar and Shelli Hutton founded their company in 1996, becoming the first female team to start a political media buying firm. Bobby Kahn started LUC Media in 1993 following years of litigation against broadcasters overcharging candidates in violation of the Communications Act. Devon Prescod, Chris Brimer, Jamie Sterling, and Jeff Scattergood make up the rest of the seven partner firm. Collectively the seven represent over 150 years in the business and more than $5 bn in media spending.
CPM has directed, planned, & executed some of the biggest and most complex media accounts in the industry. On the political side, this includes multiple presidential campaigns starting with Clinton/Gore in 1996 and most recently as the Biden-Harris Campaign's lead media buying shop. Scores of other campaigns include Senate, Gubernatorial, Congressional, and Mayor’s Races across the country and on down the ballot. On the issue/advocacy side of the aisle, we have advocated for marriage equality and the legalization of marijuana, fought for sensible gun safety laws, and worked on behalf of the DNC, DSCC, and DCCC.
